   NEWS / BLOG - September 15, 2009

 -Still working on new tracks, for several albums now, I got Ketil S (used to play
  guitars in Northaunt, now in Taphephobia) to test some drone guitar notes
  on some tracks... We had a nice trip to the cabin again, autumn evenings are
  getting darker, this is the best time of the year I think.
 -ALSO! I finished the remix for New Risen Throne recently. I completely
  reworked one of his tracks on his request (CD coming on Cyclic law records) 

 -THE NEXT ALBUM
  I have worked on the 4rth Northaunt cd these last years, now finally I'm seeing the
  end of it, again the sound changes from the last album, this time the main
  inspiration is the atmospheres of nature and especially wilderness and woods by
  night, this came naturally after many trips these years, I have slept beneath the
  stars and the trees, winter, spring, summer and autumn.

 -MISC NEWS:           
 -The latest Northaunt release is a re-issue of my 2004 album 'Barren Land', this
  time released on TAPE(!) by fans of this medium. Those interested can get it from

  ABOUT

  Northaunt is a ambient/dark ambient music project of Hærleif Langås.
  Northaunt started making ambient soundscapes in 1996. The music is mainly made from atmospheric
  drones, crisp field recordings (from nature here in Norway) and sometimes simple melodies (guitar,
  piano etc).Northaunt has a special focus on seclusion, melancholy and the relationship between man
  and nature, 3 cd's has been released so far. Northaunt is released by Cyclic law records (Canada)

  Lately Nothaunt has also played live from time to time,  These are my rare opportunities to meet likeminded.
